Plaster Spreader

A plaster spreader is a solid specialist instrument used to break open plaster casts. Once a cut is made in the plaster cast, the blades of the spreader are closed by opening the handle and are inserted into a section of the cast. By squeezing the handle, the blades spread open, thereby spreading apart sections of the cast. After multiple sections of the cast are spread open, the cast may be removed.
